As I tried to be more aware of the store windows past which I was always

hurrying by,  I concentrated on seeing the letters or symbols on these windows as well as the objects that were inside the windows, and the reflections of the outside world on the surfaces of the windows; these images began to conflate. I could not differentiate among them nor tell what was on the surface, beyond the surface, and reflected on the surface. I realized that this vision was like our lives where past, present, and

future are often so intertwined and complicated they cannot be separated.  That is the vision I am conveying in this series of paintings.
