We all eat every day…but do we really see what we eat?

These paintings focus on what foods look like. Some of them remove the food from its

environment so we become more aware the details of objects with which we are so familiar we

don’t really see what they look like. Others deal with the shapes, patterns, and colors of things

we eat enhanced by shapes, patterns, and colors of objects which surround them. This is a

reminder of how the visual contributes to our sense of taste as well as the appreciation of the

world we live in.
