I’ve always been fascinated by shells, minerals, and other things I could collect on the beach or

spot in a shop and have acquired a little collection of these things for many years. When I really

began to look at these objects instead of looking at just another nautilus shell or piece of quartz, I

began seeing only the forms, colors, and patterns of which the objects were composed and how

they changed depending on the angle from which I observed them.
